Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ for breaks
What is a "Pokémon break"?
A Pokémon break is a group event where several participants purchase "spots" to open card packs live, usually via an online stream, on TikTok for example. The cards are then distributed to participants by post.
How to participate in a Pokémon break?
To participate in a Pokémon break, you must purchase a spot for a two-player Battle or a spot for a personal break for the product of your choice on our TikTok Live Breaks page. Each Battle spot gives you the chance to win your opponent's cards in addition to your own, while each personal spot guarantees an exciting live unboxing!
What are the prices for spots or slots for Pokémon breaks?
The price of Battle spots and individual seats varies depending on the desired card series and expansions, and their market value at the time of purchase.
Can I buy multiple slots or places in the same break?
Yes, you can buy multiple spots or seats for the same Live event. You can buy multiple seats for a longer individual pack opening and get more powerful cards. You can also buy multiple spots for Battles, but you must choose different Battles, as you cannot battle against yourself.
Where can I watch my break live?
All our Pokémon breaks are streamed live on our TikTok account. The exact date and time of each break are indicated in the description when you purchase your spot. This way, you can follow the unboxing of your packs in real-time.
When are the breaks?
Breaks will be announced in advance on TikTok or on the BreakingZard website. Feel free to contact us if you would like an estimated date for the Live project.
What happens if I'm not available at break time?
Before each opening, we will ensure that you are in front of the screen; you will need to confirm your presence to us. If you are not there, we will move on to the next break and then return to yours once you have confirmed your presence.
Are cards sent out after each break?
Yes, all cards are shipped at the end of each break, usually within 24 to 48 hours. Shipping costs are included in the spot price for shipments within Quebec. Additional charges may apply depending on your postal code.
What are the rules for Battle?
Two participants each purchase a sealed pack from the same expansion. Each pack is opened live when both participants are present. The participant whose pack has the most HP wins both packs. In the event of a tie, the match is a draw and each participant wins a free pack for the second round. The winner of this 2nd round wins all four packs.
Warning! If you have the Pikachu Ex 238/191 at 200 HP and your pack totals 540 HP, but your opponent has Exeggutor Ex at 300 HP and their pack totals 640 HP, you lose that amazing $650 Pikachu. We understand that the risks of such losses are minimal, but you should be aware of them ;)
